Advanced Quality Inspector
Onsite in Canonsburg, PA
Pay Estimated: $30 Per Hour | 1st Shift
We are hiring an Advanced Quality Inspector to support a defense manufacturing environment by inspecting parts, materials, assemblies, and equipment for compliance with specified requirements. Perform real-time defect evaluation, prepare quality assurance documentation, verify corrective actions and rework, and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to maintain product quality and traceability.
Responsibilities:
The Advanced Quality Inspector will inspect parts, materials, assemblies and equipment for compliance to specified requirements and perform real-time defect evaluation. This will require the preparation of QA documentation along with the verification of corrective action implementation and rework.
Inspect parts, materials, assemblies, and equipment for compliance with specified requirementsConduct detailed inspections throughout production to ensure products meet quality standards and specificationsIdentify and assess manufacturing defects, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actionsVerify corrective actions and rework are effectively implemented to prevent recurrenceEnsure parts and materials are properly labeled and traceable throughout the production processComplete and maintain quality assurance records, inspection reports, and documentation for compliance and audit purposesInterface with coworkers, internal customers, and suppliers to address quality issues
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal LawAbility to obtain a Secret ClearanceHigh School diploma or equivalent4+ years of directly related experienceSolid knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control, workmanship standards, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), statistics, and process control techniquesAbility to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints to verify parts and assemblies meet design specificationsUnderstanding of electrical or mechanical systems and components used in inspection and testingJ-STD-001, J-STD-002, IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Mechanical EngineeringStrong problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative team environmentCommitment to continuous improvement and professional development
